Duration not affecting video length

The default duration for the project setting I use is infinity. I expect this to take video until I stop it or the resources are used up. However it seems to stop after a second of video. When I manually change the duration to 6 hours it still stops at one second.

How do I take timelapses that are of arbitrary length?

Could you please share the exact steps you take to reproduce this behavior?

I've done some tests but haven't been able to replicate what you described. When the frames and duration is set to infinity it should run until you stop it like you said --to do otherwise would be a bug.

It seems to do this all the time since all presets use infinity for duration and all of them stop after an hour or so.

I do not have a battery low condition, the battery was at 63% when I retrieved my phone last time. Once I tried my 40ft usb plugged into the wall outlet to see if that would make a difference but still an hour or so.

I'm on a pixel 9 pro.

Also it tells me that only the 24mm lens is available through there are 3 lenses on the back of the phone. Smooth zoom works but not sure what this is actually doing, switching lenses?

pferrrel okay, I'm doing some multi-day tests to see if I can replicate this.

Yes, the zoom will automatically switch lenses as needed. For example, the lowest zoom (usually 0.7 on a Pixel device) will switch to the wide angle lens.
